I thought of a hang glider sailing through the sky and clouds, high above the Earth, and voila, the cocktail was born. Afterwards, and after belting back a few, the accidental similarities to the taste of the B-52 became apparent, and we found it both odd and coincidental that B-52's and hang gliders are all flying machines. We then started describing the Hang Glider as the 'little brother' of the B-52.
